
Instruction Methodology – Train-the-Trainer (Arvada)
The General Instructor Development (Instruction Methodology) course is an intensive 40-hour hands-on course, with likely after-hour course preparation work. This 5-day course consists of ten primary modules which address the CO POST curriculum concepts and required topics:
1) Learner-centric training
2) Adult learning concepts & training methods
3) Curriculum development & domains of learning
4) Instructional standards & lesson plan creation
5) Accomplishing engagement/effective facilitation
6) Training/Instructional Aids
7) Communicating Effectively
8) Improving cognitive recall
9) Training Liability
10) Practical Application

Students must notify the sponsoring training region/provider at least 14 days prior to the training if they are not able to attend the training. If sufficient notification is not provided, your agency may be restricted from receiving future regional POST grant funding (class, scholarship, training equipment) for a period of up to six (6) months. Any penalties issued will be at the sole discretion of the training region boards.
