Please send your request to coordinator@greatermetroregion.com\nThis 44-hour, Colorado POST approved Integrated Handgun / Red Dot Sight Instructor course is designed to provide law enforcement officers the necessary skill and knowledge to develop and operate a law enforcement firearms / handgun program for their agency, and or assist teaching handgun skills in a Colorado POST police academy. The student will also obtain the skill and knowledge to instruct the use of red dot sights as a primary sighting instrument for a law enforcement handgun and implement a red dot sight transition program and an in-service training program for their agency. The course curriculum has been reviewed by Colorado POST and meets their requirements for both a Handgun Instructor certification as well as Red Dot Sight Instructor certification.\nStudents will be required to pass the Colorado POST Handgun Qualification Course on day one of training using the sighting system of their choice. If you do not receive these emails, please check your junk/spam folders. *Per our guidelines, if you are a peace officer from outside the GMTR / federal officer / military / civilian, your registration cannot be confirmed until 30 days before the start of class, provided that there is space available.\nStudents must notify the sponsoring training region/provider at least 14 days prior to the training if they are not able to attend the training. If sufficient notification is not provided, your agency may be restricted from receiving future regional POST grant funding (class, scholarship, training equipment) for a period of up to six (6) months.
