
Carbine Instructor Certification Course
The Colorado POST-approved Carbine Instructor Certification course is designed to provide law enforcement firearms instructors the necessary skills to develop and operate a law enforcement carbine program which lasts 5 days. This course will greatly enhance the student’s ability to diagnose shooting errors and provide practical and effective means to make permanent and sustainable corrections. The student will also develop a full understanding of the capabilities of the carbine, to include: mastery of the fundamentals of shooting, efficient manipulation skills, understanding wound ballistics, extended range shooting, effects of wind and weather, use of optical sights, program development and management. Students must have a basic handgun instructor certification and a carbine/patrol rifle operator’s certification.
