Implicit Bias – Train the Trainer
This class is now full. If you would like to be waitlisted for this class, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
This course is designed to be an interactive Train-the-Trainer session aimed squarely at the topic of Implicit-Bias and its relationship to Law Enforcement.
During the course, we will deconstruct the topic by drilling into definitions and examples relevant to the profession of Law Enforcement.
From there we will examine how our cultural lenses are formed and provide an opportunity to share personal stories by encouraging and engaging in an open and honest dialogue.
With an assessment of topics relevant to the needs of their respective agencies, the students will engage in an evaluative teach-back session.
The teach-back sessions will allow our evaluator(s) an opportunity to access a student’s ability to manage information, construct a sample presentation, demonstrate Public Speaking abilities and facilitate a discussion.
Due to the fact that every agency presents with their own areas of reflection, the training ends with a managed discussion that will assist the students in an assessment of what topics are relevant to their agency’s needs.
