Law Enforcement Patrol Rifle Instructor Course

This course is intended to provide law enforcement firearms instructors the training to successfully instruct, manage and convey proper usage and maintenance of a Patrol Rifle. Students will understand instructor-based use of force considerations, methodology and training liability. Students will have the ability to develop training to successfully implement an agency patrol rifle user course and in-service training related to a patrol rifle.

Prerequisite: This is an instructor level course and applicants should be currently employed as an agency law enforcement firearms instructor and have completed a 24-hour patrol rifle user course.

This class is free. To register, please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the CLICK HERE NEXT button. You will receive an email advising that your registration was received. A second email will be sent if your registration has been confirmed. If you do not receive these emails, please check your junk/spam folders. *Per our guidelines, if you are a peace officer outside the GMTR / federal officer / military / civilian, your registration cannot be confirmed until 30 days before the start of class, provided that there is space available.

Students must notify the sponsoring training region/provider at least 14 days prior to the training if they are not able to attend the training. If sufficient notification is not provided, your agency may be restricted from receiving future regional POST grant funding (class, scholarship, training equipment) for a period of up to six (6) months. Any penalties issued will be at the sole discretion of the training region boards.
